Hurry up!

What does it bring and give you in the end to be in a haste and to hurry up all the time? That might be a good question to ask yourself.

Maybe things get done faster, maybe you will be on time for that appointment. But in the end, what does haste give you? At first, it will give you stress no matter what. Being in a hurry or haste gives stress and stress is not healthy for us, well that is a given and it’s as simple as that.

Anyway, you’re stressed out and in a haste. The chance of an error increases and that of an accident too. Maybe you’ll have extra bad luck, being caught speeding and getting an expensive speeding ticket. Traffic jams, an open bridge and red traffic lights. In the meanwhile you’re running in the red zone too, getting more stressed out by the minute.

And there goes, all that haste and stress turns us into egoistic persons. Only minding your own hurried up business, not caring for others anymore. The other person is only standing in your way, driving in front of you or crossing the street. Your blinders are pointed in front of you, quickly handling that phone call while paying in the supermarket. You didn’t see the old lady behind you waiting, you push your cart back in the line without waiting for the other person standing there.

So, what’s all that haste bringing you? Not a lot of good. A fast and hasted society is created where we don’t mind others anymore. Everything has to go fast, perfect and preferably has to be done yesterday. Our blinders blind us, literally. It keeps us away from enjoying the moment and to care for others. We don’t get any friendlier too. Society hardens, a lack of respect is born.
So do ask yourself that question. What does all that stress and haste actually give you in the end? What is the cause of that stress and haste? Take a critical view on that!

It’s ok to drive a bit slower, to gear down a bit. Nothing wrong with that. By taking that critical view on your stress factors, you will be able to slow down. It will bring you more focus and concentration. It will give you more peace of mind and kindness.

Can you use a bit of help taking that critical view on things? Don’t hesitate or wait any longer to banish that haste and stress out of your life and contact me!
